Pain in the Ass!

Using the internet used to be easier in the past. You could find what you want and go straight there in a few minutes. Even the "newbees" caught on after an hour or two! Now, with all the bloody fucking advertising, you have to wade through all kinds of shit and often never find what you want - because someone else wants to charge you for it!

If you have ever walked down the street in New York City, it is the same experience. Everybody hits you up for a hand-out!

Yeah, GR, that's what I thought. When I use Mozilla (Firefox, Netscape) the rendering and screen behavior is different. You have to manually refresh the screen to see your posted comment. There might be a way around this, but I am not familiar with Perl. I have firefox running on Linux, but it probably behaves the same on Windows. My rant is against the general appropriation of the internet by "marketing forces" - a phenomenon one would think one would be used to living in the US of A with all our commercialism. I think one of the reasons I enjoy my many trips to the UK is to experience life with less "in your face" advertising, i.e. watching BBC. Then again, you do have those bloody speed cameras . . .
