Midsummer garden update
It is high Summer now with the day's length past its zenith and ever creeping down the slope towards Winter. Everything seems to be doing OK, except for the basil plant. Its leaves are dropping off and they have a yellowish tinge to them instead of being a lush green. They taste OK though, and since I don't bother to make fresh pesto sauce anymore, what the hell. There will be enough greenery to add to my bi-weekly spaghetti sauce, and enough left over for the garnish to my sliced tomatoes, so I am content despite the decline in vigor.
