Mary, Mary, quite contrary . . .
This will probably be the last "garden update" for the season, aside for a few close-up shots of some nice, ripe tomatoes when they get picked. The cucumber produced two, good full-size cucumbers. There is another on its way if it lives, but the plant itself is starting to turn brown and papery. Two of the peppers are starting to turn red and there are about a dozen in all. More than enough for my salads and tuna fish sandwiches. The basil is dead. Some shamrocks or clover or whatever have taken over the pot now.
