Summer returns to the heartland

It is supposed to get hot this week, well, in the 80's anyway. It is also supposed to rain, which is good because the laws are starting to turn brown in spots - typical August in Indiana. The days are noticeably shorter now, and that sun has a bit more of an angle to it. Winter is on the way, but it is not here just yet.
Sue was here over the weekend and she thinks she has found a house to buy. A lot of details to work out before she moves though. It will happen.
Katie and I had dinner last Saturday, and then went to Marshalls for bargains. I bought two shirts, a wallet, and some hankies. I walked over to half-price books to see if they had a copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking - Vol. 2, by the late Julia Child, but no luck so I went to Amazon and ordered one. That was about it for a quiet weekend.
