Midweek, mid-summer

My housekeeper returns from her vacation to Nashville today. Good to have her back, the place needs attention. Last night's rain came down hard and pounded some of my plants, but everything survived. That squirrel-ravaged pepper plant has really made a rebound. There are baby peppers and little white flowers all over that thing. Too bad I don't like peppers all that much, but I will find a use for them. The tomato has about a dozen or more green tomatoes on it that are full size, I am just waiting for them to ripen. The rain gage has just shy of two inches of water - all from one big downpour.

No word from Amazon yet.
