Car repair mishap
Recently, while I was in England, I left my car with the mechanic to have some work done. They replaced the alternator, which was only putting out enough current to darken the idiot light, but not charge the battery properly. Also they fixed a cooling system leak and replaced the faulty thermostat, flushed and filled the radiator. Well, they got carried away with the coolant. I used the window washers yesterday and noticed it was spraying antifreeze!

Yikes. That can't be good for your windscreen wipers. Pretty, though. ;)Posted by: pie at November 11, 2004 08:25 PM
No harm was done. Antifreeze is like syrup and drips clung to the car. After they drained the washer reservoir, they flushed it out with water and ran the pump for a while to flush the hoses. They replaced the water with windex and I took the car to the car wash. Then it rained.Posted by: Nez at November 12, 2004 07:01 AM
well, at least they were thorough. It coulda been worse. They could've not fixed anything at all! And charged you a sh**load of money.Posted by: Meeta at November 12, 2004 01:41 PM
Yah. They are good. They flushed it while I waited and apologized all the while for screwing up.Posted by: Nez at November 12, 2004 02:00 PM
