Upgraded

I must say that MT needs to be more user friendly on the technical side. I maintain my own server and my blog resides on it. I guess I did OK on the upgrade to ver 3.15 - after all you ARE reading this post. There was a bit of a rough patch though, but I managed (I think) to get through it. Not being a Unix guru has its disadvantages when it comes to things like setting permissions and such. Let me know if it does anything weird.

Thanks for registering to post comments. Since that system was implemented, I have not had any more comment spam.

I have not seen much change in 3.15 over 3.0 but it is still new.

Yeah, it worked.I thought that creating a login for my comments would cure the problem, and it did . . . for about a week or two. Then, yesterday, I got a shitload of comment spam again! My answer was to download and install MT-BLACKLIST. There is a version of the blacklist for MT 2.661, but I am not sure about 2.64 - The jury is still out, but I see that it has repelled over 24 CS pings to my server, so there is hope. I am just a little fish in the blogosphere, you will probably have to follow suit (upgrade to 3.15 and add MT-Blacklist) You may not have to enable login for commenters. I am going to watch things for a week or two, then if all is quiet, I may disable the logins.Keep me in the loop!
