What's with all the sleep?

I could not keep my eyes open last night. I would start watching a TiVo-saved program and nod right out, only to be woken by the sound of its "bong" asking me if I want to save or delete. I gave up and went to bed about 11:30 PM and slept right through until 5:55 AM. The news comes on at 6:00 AM, but I didn't bother turning it on and just rolled right over. The next thing I knew it was 8:00 AM! I think it must me the "Thursday-night sleep deficit catch-up rule" coming into play early. Usually I make up for all my missed sleep on Thursday night, but this week, it is hitting a day early.

Thursday's are bad for that. It is like your body dumps all the accumulated tiredness because it knows the weekend is coming starting Friday and the cycle begins again.
