Gasoline roulette . . . today I won!

On my way to my first client of the day, with my tank at a little below half, I noticed that gasoline prices took a whopping great jump from $1.91 yesterday to $2.15 today! WTF?
Well, it's Thursday. My theory says that they almost always hike the price around Thursday to get ready for the upcoming weekend. They usually start to fall back down again on Monday. I think there is a special, secret gasoline-grapevine out there because all the stations jump in the same proportion, all at the same time. Tell me it is not coordinated!

Well, the good news is that sometimes the word does not quite get around to everybody at the same time. Or maybe sometimes when the word does get there, the hired help is on the john, or is taking a smoke-break somewhere.
To my disbelief, another filling station about a half-mile north of the $2.15 station was still at $1.91! Stunned with incredulousness, illegal or not, I did a smart U-turn right in the middle of College Avenue and filled that sucker up to the brim!
And it's a good thing I did, because about an hour later when I was returning from my visit, you can guess what happened - they raised their price to $2.15 - bastards!
