Dennis the menace

What's left of Dennis is advancing rapidly into Indiana. The original track predicted he would arrive between Tuesday and Wednesday, but I think it will start raining tonight. In our case it is a good thing because we are so dry and still under uninforced water restrictions. There is already a high cloud cover all over the state and the wind has picked up out of the East at a steady 15 kts.

They were saying for a while that Dennis might head west enough that we would catch some of the rain. No such luck. We NEED a good dousing. So if you end up with some spare, send it to Dallas, all right?

Don't hold your breath! Dennis is barreling northward to Indiana to relieve our drought. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USLocalWide.asp?loc=kind&seg=LocalWeather&prodgrp=RadarImagery&product=Radar&prodnav=none

"Phew" is right. It's the tornados we worry about here in Indiana. Hurricanes pretty much lose their punch this far away from the ocean.
